Darla Opava (Opava Eventing)

Opava Eventing teaches horseback riding in western and english disciplines, from total beginners to advanced riders. Our lesson program is designed to be intimate, one on one, relaxed and fun - focusing on the total horsemanship experience. Learning is comprised of riding, performing horse care, and gaining understanding, compassion and developing good communication with the horse. Students new to riding will progress from basic walk and turning skills, being able to move on after each level is successfully achieved. The goal is to create riders that can walk, trot, and canter their horses, go on trail rides and above that, run gymkhana’s, jump, move into dressage, or any other discipline they enjoy. Throughout all this, they will continuously learn how to understand the horse while riding and on the ground, horse maintenance, horse care, and care of tack and stable.
