Laura Fischer (Math with Mrs. Fish)

" Math with Mrs. Fish provides a complete math curriculum and online instruction for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. Students may enroll as an ""advanced"" student or for remediation. The classes meet online using Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Eighth grade is 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Seventh grade is 9:30 to 10:30 and sixth grade is from 11:00 to noon. The cost is $450 per semester. The sixth and seventh grade curriculum is a one-time charge of $50 for the year and is mailed to families. The eighth-grade curriculum is sent to families digitally and is printed at home. To offset the printing costs, there is no charge for the eighth-grade curriculum. The curriculum is 100% aligned to the Common Core State Standards, which means that any concept on the state standardized testing will be covered in class. The tone of the curriculum is conversational and frequently humorous. Laura Fischer, aka Mrs. Fish, has 30+ years of teaching experience and is a fully credentialed teacher in California. Middle school math is her passion and she has turned many math-haters into math-lovers (or, at least, math-tolerators).
